Nearing my goal
I am finally nearing my goal of having 300 visits in my page. I am extremely excited for it.
Quick Fact
Music was very influential during World War 2, things like the Andrew Sisters were normal in that time. Soldiers would listen to music in the radios they carried around. It also helped liven up the spirit so that one may remain calm and always look up.
What Was New In The 90's
In my opinion this is one of the best movements that happened in the 90's, that was the grunge movement. A new sub-genre of rock had finally arrived and it spawned some of the greatest bands the world has known such as Nirvana. It is also noticeable that rock went a step forward during the 90's as it was full with great bands.

Quick Fact
The Du Hast video I previously posted was given the title as one of the greatest clips in history, as the explosion at the end was not planned to be as strong as it was. The band's drummer Christoph Shneider received second degree burns, the bands vocalist Tilla Lindemann was thrown to the ground due to the explosions force. The video received the title in 2007.

They were pretty famous in the 90's and they are a German rock band. If you haven't figured out who they are or just have never heard of them, they are called Rammstein.
They are a famous band from the 90's and I enjoy their music, here is a simple but great song from them titled: "Du Hast"

I felt I had to add more to my list since I personally have way more bands from the 90's I would love to add.
-Alice In Chain
One of the most influential bands in the 90's. They had one of the best singers out their. Rest In Peace to Layne Staley. They are definitely a great and dark hard rock band.
-Soundgarden
Awesome 90's band, they have had a great amount of hits in the 90's and I love them. Chris Cornell's vocals are just pure art.

My Top 3 Musicians/Bands Who Weren't Successful At First
Hello everyone, this is my top 3 musicians and bands who weren't successful at first.
Their is no certain time period but they are all before the 2000's.
Remember this is my personal opinion.
3. Elvis Presley- Elvis might be one of the best selling artists but in the early 50's he was known by nobody. He was fired by his manager after one performance and was told he wouldn't be able to achieve anything.
2. Ludwig van Beethoven- Now here is a surprise. One of the greatest composers of all time failed at first. He began composing at a fairly young age, yet was told by his teachers that he was hopeless and would never succeed. This came from him neglecting to practice.
1. The Beatles- One of the worlds most popular band and one of my personal favorite was a failure at first. How could a band who is extremely popular and has listeners even to this day have been unsuccessful? Well when the Beatles had been called for a test with a record company they were immediately told they were terrible. That they would not make it and that their music was way off. Still after more looking for record companies they went all the way to the top, and remain there even to this day.
So what do you guys think, do you know any bands that have failed at first and then proceeded to rise to the top?
Leave a comment answering.

Listening To Some 40's
Hello everyone, just a quick post.
Just to let you know I listen to a 40's music station, and I sure do enjoy it.
I came across some gems from the past. I hope you like them like I did.
-Bing Crosby & The Andrew Sisters- South America, Take It Away.
I find this song extremely catchy, I find it cute and I love the way the Andrew Sisters sing in it.
-Glenn Miller-Missouri Waltz
The melody is just great and composed beautifully. I recommend this song to those who like calm melodies and the 40's.
- The Andrew Sisters- Rum and Coca-Cola
Guess it was Andrew Sisters' day, this song has a nice melody to it and for some reason it reminds me of all those black and white cartoons.
Any 40's Songs you guys could recommend for me, I would love to hear what you think.

The Cranberries Pt. 2
I shall be continuing the story of The Cranberries:
After releasing a two singles and their debut album they didn't receive much attention from the public yet they decided to go on a tour which caught the attention of MTV, they put The Cranberries's songs in rotation and helped them reach top numbers with "Linger" and "Dreams". After that their debut album achieved number one in the UK Album Chart. In 1994 Dolores married the bands manager Don Burton. The groups second album titled "No Need To Argue" boasted mighty impressive songs. It reached number six in the US Chart and outsold their previous album. Within a year this album became a Triple Platinum and the song "Zombie"became a number 1 hit, with their other song "Ode to my family" at number 11, in the Modern Rock Tracks chart. In 1995 they released two more singles and their album reached 5 times platinum in Canada, platinum in Switzerland, and 7 times platinum in US. In 1996 they released their third album titled to The Faithful Depart.
This band has a lot of history. Researching this is extremely long and I don't trust Wikipedia so it takes me a while.

The Cranberries
The Cranberries is an Irish rock band formed in the year 1989 in Limerick. The bands members are Dolores O'Riordan as lead singer, the guitarist is Noel Hogan, drummer Fergal Lawer, and finally bassist Mike Hogan. This band is an alternative rock band, who launched their debut album in 1990 titled: "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? This band sky rocketed to the top during 1990, selling about 40 million albums. Originally the band went by the name The Cranberry Saw Us, which was formed in Limerick, Ireland. The lead singer at that time was Niall Quinn, who left the band in no less than a year. After Niall left the band members decided to look for a female singer by putting up advertisements. Finally Dolores was chosen when she auditioned by performing the song she wrote tiltled: "Linger". The band recorded a home made tape and managed to sell 300 copies of it. After changing their name to The Cranberries the band sent a copy of their demo tapes to UK record companies containing early versions of the songs "Linger" and "Dreams" which was recorded at Xeric Studios and run by Pearse Gilmore who later proceeded to become their manager. Many UK companies tried to get a contract with them. At the end the contract was signed with Island Records. After this they produced their first EP titled "Uncertain". Sadly the EP got poor reviews and by the press. Tension arose between the group and Pearse. After not achieving a good recording the band decided to scrap their work and fire Gilmore. They headed to Dublin, Ireland to work Stephen Street on their first LP. During this time The Cranberries toured Ireland and UK.
I shall when I have the time
